On 22 January 2017, SDMO Industries and SELECT jointly organised a seminar in Djibouti on custom-designed installations, culminating with a visit to a newly installed power plant.
On the morning of Sunday 22 January, our distributor in Djibouti, SELECT, hosted some fifty people at the Sheraton hotel for a seminar dedicated to the KOHLER SDMO brand. The audience included representatives from the French armed forces in Djibouti, the US army, Port of Djibouti management, the CCI and local and international companies.
After a presentation of SELECT, the sales manager for the zone, introduced SDMO Industries and its KOHLER SDMO brand. He then focussed his presentation on the company's expertise in custom-designed power plants and data
The seminar was closed out with a visit to the back-up power plant at the new port of Doraleh, currently being installed: six containerised X2200s with CPU40Si fitted with sand filters, one high voltage container and two load benches, with total prime power (PRP) of 9.6MW at 48 degrees, extendable to 14.4MW. Commissioning is scheduled to take place in a few weeks.
A fine and tangible illustration of our expertise which filled our guests with enthusiasm. The event also highlighted how close SDMO Industries collaborates with its distributors. It is a relationship based on confidence that will bear fruit once again this year, with the delivery of a second plant similar to the first, providing output of 3.2MW extendable to 9.6MW in 2017 for the port of Tadjourah.
